MacDara was educated at National University of Ireland, Galway where he graduated with a BA (Hons) in History & Classical Civilisation and subsequently with a LLB in 2007.
Prior to joining the firm in 2012, MacDara worked for a well-known commercial firm in Dublin wherein he specialised in recovery for one of the pillar banks. He has also worked in a large insurance company and thereafter in a specialised insurance defence litigation law firm covering personal injury, employer’s liability and public liability claims.
Having completed his apprenticeship with Crowley Millar, MacDara qualified as a solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland in January 2015. His primary focus in Crowley Millar is dispute resolution and he works in the litigation department.
MacDara was a key member of a team representing a client in a catastrophic injury claim which secured one of the largest personal injury awards in the State. He currently assists our clients in the areas of debt recovery and commercial litigation. MacDara also acts on behalf of clients on immigration matters.
MacDara is qualified to practice in Ireland, England and Wales. He is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA). He also holds a Certificate in Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Ireland and is currently undertaking studies to become recognised as a Trade Marks Agent and Community Trade Mark Attorney.
